Finland-USA 2-3
May 6, 2009To my utter dismay Finland lost tonight to USA at the Ice Hockey World Championship quarterfinals. Many Finns are really crazy about hockey (especially on the international level) and I’m no exception. I went through all of the swear words Finnish has after the game ended (believe me Finnish is a great language for swearing). Unfortunate no one here in the UK seems to appreciate hockey the same we do, so we haven’t been able to follow the matches from TV. Due to some “copyright issues” the Finnish broadcaster YLE (Finnish equivalent of BBC) has banned access to it’s online live feeds of the matches from everyone outside Finland. Luckily I was able to watch the matches from varying other online feeds across the Europe. Only good thing about Finland losing tonight is that now I don’t have to spend my nights wathing games. Maybe now I can start prepping for the last exam for this spring. Maybe…
